Race shirts

At the end of the 2016-17 school year we had a shirt design contest open to RMS students to create our Race Shirts.  The winners of that contest were:

  1. First Place - Precious Morales

  2. Second Place - Lily McLure
  3. Third Place: Willow Segall
  4. Fourth Place: Pashence Balding

These shirts can be purchased when you register for the event.  There are two options - a cotton t-shirt version for $10 and an athletic/active version for $15.  These shirts are APPROVED for school wear - so you can wear them to school in lieu of a school polo shirt.

Why Run?

You should definitely run when being chased by zombies. But there are other good reasons as well. Running (or walking) is healthy, fun and mood-enhancing.

When you sign up for the Trick or Trot, you are not just promoting a healthy lifestyle for you and your family: you are helping support after-school enrichment programs at Roosevelt International Baccalaureate Middle School.

Funds raised from the event will enable the non-profit Friends of Roosevelt Foundation to continue and expand afterschool clubs such as Math, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA), Girls in Science, Garden Club, Junior Theater, Spirit Squad and more. Over 80% of Roosevelt students are low-income. These clubs provide many students a first exposure to enrichment programs and the variety of potential careers that are available to them.
